Journey to Rampa Waterfalls
The waterfall is in the middle of a dense jungle and can only be reached by jeep. It’s an exhilarating experience to drive through the dense jungle. Local villagers maintain the road and the area leading up to the waterfall. From the entrance, there is a short hike to the waterfall. The flowing water stream will be on your right as you climb, and there are several small waterfalls to add to the enjoyment of the short hike. The main waterfall will be reached after a 20-minute climb.
Nearest Temples at the Rampa Waterfalls
Near the Rampachodavaram waterfalls is an ancient Shiva temple known as Sri Neelakanteswara. Every year on Shivratri Day, a dance festival is held here, where the famous tribal dance Vela is performed. The dancers’ costumes are very attractive during this performance.
Best Time to visit Rampa Waterfalls
Rampa Waterfalls is best to visit in between August to December as it is less crowded at that time of the year and also the climate will be pleasant to enjoy the waterfalls.
Entry Fee and Timings to visit Rampa Waterfalls
Rampa Waterfalls is open to the public from 08:00 AM to 05:00 PM throughout the week.To visit the waterfalls,one has to pay Rs 10/- as entrance fee.
