During the Shivaratri festival, this location takes on a completely different hue.During the festival, crowds of people pay a visit to the Sri Kalyana Pothuraju Babu Temple, which is located next to the reservoir. Buses from nearby cities such as Vizag, Vizianagaram, Kakinada, Rajahmundry, and Tuni are organised to transport these pilgrims to the reservoir. Pilgrims arrive, receive blessings at the temple, and bathe in the sacred reservoir. During the festival, pilgrims can even use the boating facility.
