01. Borra Caves:
Borra Caves are one million year-old limestone caves and India’s deepest caves, located 36 kilometres from Araku, 88 kilometres from Vizag. The caves, which are located in Andhra Pradesh’s Ananthagiri hills at an altitude of 1400 metres and cover a total area of 2 square kilometres, are situated at an altitude of 1400 metres. Borra Caves is one of the best attractions in Araku Valley to visit as part of Vizag tour packages.
The Borra Caves Railway station on the Vizag-Araku line is roughly 5 kilometres from the caves. Outside the Borra Caves, there are a few restaurants, including the AP Tourism restaurant, which serves lunch and snacks.

02. Ananthagiri Hills
Ananthagiri is a lovely small hill station between Vizag and Araku Valley, located 26 miles from Araku, 85 km from Vizag, and 660 km from Hyderabad. Apart from being a popular weekend escape from Vizag city, it is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Araku Valley and one of the top hill stations in Andhra Pradesh.
Ananthagiri Hills has plenty of lodging options. There are a variety of hotels and lodges in the vicinity that provide comfortable accommodations and amenities. The Ananthagiri village is home to an AP tourism resort. The Jungle Bells resort in Tyda, about 11 kilometres from Anantagiri, is a fantastic place to stay.
The Ananthagiri hills are accessible by both road and rail. Borra Caves, 9 kilometres away, is the closest railhead to these hills. To get to these hills, state buses are also available.
03. Chaparai Warefalls
Chaaparai is a beautiful waterfall located on Paderu – Araku Road in the Visakhapatnam region of Andhra Pradesh, 13 kilometres from Araku Bus Stand. It is also known as Dumbriguda Waterfalls and is one of the most prominent Araku Tourist Places.
To visit this site, visitors must bring their own vehicles or rent a taxi/auto from Araku.

04. Tribal Museum
Araku Tribal Museum is a wonderful place that explores the tribal culture of the Eastern Ghats and is only 200 metres from Araku Bus Station. It is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Araku Valley.
Several clay monuments portray their day-to-day activities in the museum. Jewellery, hunting gear, and household utensils are among the native artefacts on display. The museum is well-equipped with sign boards that give visitors with necessary information. The museum has a stall where tribal goods can be purchased. The museum also has a Tribal Art and Crafts Centre where workshops and exhibitions are held to promote tribal art.

05. Katiki Waterfalls
Katiki or Katika Waterfall is a stunning waterfall located near Borra Caves in Visakhapatnam district of Andhra Pradesh, at a distance of 7 km from Borra Caves, 39 km from Araku, 90 km from Vizag, and 665 km from Hyderabad. It is one of Araku’s best waterfalls and one of the nicest locations to visit in Araku.
There is no public transportation to this location. The road to the waterfall is uneven and not appropriate for conventional cars other than jeeps, thus visitors are advised not to go there by car.
Although there are no accommodations near the waterfall, there are small huts selling marinated chicken in bamboo trunks. Near the waterfall, you can also buy jungle honey.
The greatest time to visit this waterfall is from August to December, when it is dry.

06. Padmapuram Gardens
Padmapuram Gardens is a famous botanical garden in Araku, located 2.5 kilometres from Araku Bus Station. It is one of Araku Valley’s most well-known tourist attractions.
Taking the Araku Express toy train, which is popular among visitors to the gardens, is a fun way to tour the gardens. Along with the toy railway, the garden also has tree top huts that travellers can rent. The hanging cottages, sometimes known as tree huts, are ten feet above ground level. Staying in a hanging cottage is a thrilling experience, and one can enjoy a rare swing as the tree sways in response to a strong breeze. The main attractions here are a stunning rose garden and exotic plant species, which are sold to visitors.

07. Tadimada Waterfalls:
Tadimada Waterfalls, also known as Ananthagiri Waterfalls, is a beautiful waterfall located 30 kilometres from Araku and 3 kilometres from Anantagiri town in Andhra Pradesh’s Vizag district. It is one of Araku’s most beautiful waterfalls and a popular tourist destination.
Walking or trekking from Anantagiri is the best way to get to these waterfalls. The falls are located between Anantagiri and Araku Valley, roughly 1-2 kilometres distant.
It is recommended that you walk to these falls from the main road between Ananthagiri and Araku, which takes about 20 minutes. The route is nearly level, so everyone may walk without difficulty.

08. Matsyagundam
Matsyagundam, popularly known as the “fish pool,” is a beautiful pool on the Machkund River in the village of Matham, about 35 kilometres from Araku Valley (15 kms from Paderu)
It is thought that a massive conflict between Singarajulu (snakes) and Matsyarajulu (fish) occurred in Gemili, following which the Mother Fish saved all of the fish and transported them here. Matsya Gundam was the name given to the hamlet later. Because of this belief, the indigenous have never killed or eaten fish.

09. Duduma Waterfalls
Duduma Falls (also known as Matsya Tirtha) is a 70-kilometer-long waterfall on the Machkund River in Orissa, close to Munchingiputtu village in Visakhapatnam District. This 520-foot waterfall is one of Orissa’s most popular.

10. Ranijilleda Falls
Araku Waterfalls, also known as Ranajilleda Falls, are a stunning and little-known waterfall located near Ranajilleda Village near Araku and are about 3 km from Padmapuram Gardens and 6 km from Araku Bus station.
Araku Waterfalls is one of Araku Valley’s best waterfalls, standing at a height of nearly 60 feet. This waterfall, named after the village of Ranajilleda, is situated on a mountain peak and requires around 10-15 minutes of trekking from the nearest motorable road to reach it.
To get to the falls, drive straight from Padmapuram Gardens to Ranajilleda village, from where the falls can be reached through a mountain walk. Post-monsoon season is the best time to visit these falls.

11. Tyda Nature Camp
Tyda, a small tribal town situated in the wooded hills of the Eastern Ghats between Vizag and Araku Valley, is 40 kilometres from Araku, 70 kilometres from Vizag, and 632 kilometres from Hyderabad.
The nature camp, also known as Jungle Bells, offers rock climbing, hiking, bird watching, and bow-and-arrow target shooting. A variety of animals and birds call this eco-tourism attraction home. The language of the jungle, as well as the identification of cries and signs, can be learned with the help of naturalists or guides at the camp.
Tourists can stay in log houses and tents built in a tribal environment.
Tyda is a station on the Vizag-Araku line. The Tatipudi Reservoir is around 25 kilometres from Tyda, and several buses run between.
12. Tatipudi Reservoir
The Tatipudi Reservoir is located near Srungavarapukoda (also called S Kota) town in Vizianagaram district, 65 kilometres from Vizag, 55 kilometres from Araku, and 632 kilometres from Hyderabad.
The Reservoir is around 10 kilometres from S Kota and can be reached via Kothavooru and Krishnapuram (if travelling from Vizag) or Tennuboddavara and Tadupudi village (if travelling from S Kota) (while coming from Araku). S Kota town can provide private vehicles to get you to this location.
With a little more effort, this spot may be visited on the way to Araku or on the way back to Vizag.
