Darga Konda Vizag (History, Timings, Location and Images)
Darga Konda is a sacred site in Visakhapatnam, serving as the entrance to the Visakhapatnam harbour. At the entrance to the harbour, it is the northernmost of three hills. This hill is home to the mosque of Baba Ishaq Madina, a well-known Muslim saint. The other two hills make up the triplet Sri Venkateswara Konda and Ross Hill.
The saint Baba is said to have miraculous prophecy abilities. Devotees from both Hindus and Muslims flock to the Darga Konda on a regular basis.
History of Darga Konda
It is a mosque and the holy shrine of Sayed Ali Medina Alias Ishaque Madina, a Muslim saint who was thought to possess miraculous powers. It is a well-known sacred site that attracts people of all faiths and religions. After visiting Visakhapatnam 700 years ago, Mughal King Aurangzeb built it.
Darga Konda is one of the three hills that make up the Line of Three Hills, along with Sri Venkateswara Konda Temple and Rose Hill. The Locations Beautiful views of hills and valleys, as well as a pleasant environment, entice tourists to visit Darga, which has a pious belief attached to devotees of various faiths.
Not only Muslims, but people of all faiths are honoured to visit the magnificent Darga during the ‘Pires festival’ in Visakhapatnam (Vizag). The best time to visit Darga Konda or the line of three hills is between November and February, when Visakhapatnam (Vizag) has a pleasant climate.

The Baba Ishaq Madina Mosque in Visakhapatnam is free to visit. It is open from Monday through Sunday, 6 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
