Guruji was approached by the Putrevu family in 1983, according to reports, while performing Devi Yagam. Guruji was asked to build a temple for the Divine Mother, and the family donated three acres of land for the purpose. He was looking for guidance to begin the construction of the temple after receiving the land on which it now stands.

Guruji had a vision of Kamakhya Devi as a 16-year-old girl one day while meditating. She showed him everything she enjoys and how she wants the temple to be constructed.
