In Vizag, an amul processing factory will be established
According to Amul’s MD, RS Sodhi, processing plants will be established in Vijayawada and Visakhapatnam next month. Madanapalle already has a processing facility. As a result, they sell milk that has been processed and packaged there.
YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, virtually launched the Jagananna Palavelluva initiative in Anantapur district on Friday.
For the past 15 years, Amul has been providing fresh flavoured milk to about 25 lakh children at Anganwadi and schools in Gujarat.
They provide children with cool, fresh flavoured milk from neighbouring processing plants.
In the same way, they provide flavoured milk in the communities that are adjacent to the state’s processing facilities. For the past four years, they have been providing nutritious food to Anganwadi children in Gujarat. They have set up three facilities for this purpose and are currently supplying 15 thousand tonnes of nutritious food.
Andhra Pradesh, too, stands to benefit from the Amul processing plant, which collects milk from communities.
