The Andhra Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation (APTDC) has decided to develop Revupolavaram as a top beach tourist destination in Visakhapatnam, complete with a resort and cottages.
The APTDC has big plans for Revupolavaram, which is under S.Rayavaram, and Upmaka Temple, which is under Nakkapalli Mandal in Visakhapatnam District.

Near Revupolavaram Beach is Sri Lakshmi Madhava Swamy Vari Temple and Shiva-Parvati Statue. During the Karthika Masam Festival Season, this location attracts a large number of tourists.
