The Erra Matti Dibbalu are segmented and stabilised coastal red sediment mounds between Visakhapatnam and Bheemunipatnam in Andhra Pradesh.

In Telugu, this area is known as “Erra Matti Dibbalu,” which translates to “Red Sand Hills.” It is bordered on the north-west by the Chitigadda River and on the south-west by the Peddagadda River.

These Erra Matti Dibbalu are one of Visakhapatnam’s natural resources. The Indian Geological Survey is assisting in obtaining geo-heritage site status for these locations.
