STPI To Set Up Incubation Centre At Andhra University
On Thursday, representatives from the Software Technology Parks of India (STPI) met with Andhra University Vice-Chancellor P.V.G.D. Prasad Reddy, led by STPI Director G.C.V.D. Ram Prasad.
With a budget of Rs 19.75 crore, the STPI has decided to build a 25,000-square-foot incubation centre on campus. In this regard, STPI officials have written to the AU, expressing interest in establishing an incubator centre. The STPI and the AU are expected to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on the subject in the near future.
Prof. Prasad Reddy, speaking at the event, praised the STPI and the IT Ministry for taking the time to evaluate their request and for stepping forward to establish the incubation centre. On this occasion, the V-C informed the STPI officials about the NASSCOM Centre of Excellence, the DRDA food testing laboratory, the AU School of International Business, and a few other AU-led projects.
Additional Director A.V. Malleswara Rao, STPI Senior Administrative Officer S. Ravi Kumar, and other authorities were in attendance.
