Katiki Waterfalls is one of the best water falls and it is a best place for every one to enjoy the waterfalls even we couldn’t leave the place. Katiki falls is situated near Borra Caves and it is about 6 km from borra caves and the waterfall is about 50 ft high. Katiki, it is the name of a tribal dance. We can feel an atmosphere of solitude, great peace and calmness to the minds of the people. It is one of the Beautiful location with ice cold water falling from the hill.
To reach to Katiki falls we have to hire a jeep from the Borra & Katiki Junction which can be a either on personal or sharing and the they will charge ₹1600 per trip (up & down) for 10 people. It is a journey of 8 km journey nearly 30 mins on a rocky road. After that the jeep will stop at a certain point then we have to go by walk for 2 km, it’s like trekking, We can hear the sound of the falls (roar) when we are climbing. while climbing we have to be very careful. On this journey we can see small shacks selling their like roasted corn, coconut water and coconut water e.t.c., Visitors can also buy organic honey from the tribes.
Entry fee and Timings of Katiki Waterfalls
There is no entry fee for Katiki falls and the timings to visit is 6:00 AM to 7:00 PM. Best to visit this Katiki Waterfalls is during the day time.
But we should go on jeep, they will charge Rs. 250 to Rs. 300 per person.
