In the case of the recently created Visakhapatnam Greenfield Airport project in Bhogapuram, Vijayanagaram district, another significant step has been taken. The Andhra Pradesh Airport Development Corporation (APADCL) has reached an agreement with GMR Group to receive state government financing for the project’s development.
At a signing ceremony held at the AP ADCL office on Wednesday, Karikala Valavan, Special Chief Secretary, Department of Industries and Infrastructure, Bharat Reddy, Managing Director, AP ADCL, and Manomay Ram, Chief Executive Officer, GMR Visakhapatnam International Airport Airport, signed the agreement documents. The state government will cooperate in obtaining permits for the airport’s development, infrastructure, and security, according to the agreement.
Bharat Reddy, who spoke at the event, stated that Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy is working hard to get the Bhogapuram Airport project completed as soon as possible. The project’s land acquisition and rehabilitation work is almost finished. He stated that plans to begin construction in the new year are in the works.
