Mylab to open new manufacturing facility in Visakhapatnam for Advanced Diagnostics
Mylab Discovery Solutions, a Pune-based biotech firm, announced the launch of a new manufacturing facility in Visakhapatnam’s Andhra Pradesh MedTech Zone (AMTZ) on Monday. Hasmukh Rawal, MD of Mylab Discovery Solutions, said, “This is a new facility that will use the newest technology to manufacture a wide range of high-quality molecular diagnostic products.”
The facility, which will encompass 43,000 square feet, will be built to meet the growing demand for transformational molecular testing in India and throughout the world for early and accurate diagnosis, according to Debarshi Dey, Director of Mylab Discovery Solutions.
“Mylab has been in the vanguard of the fight against Covid-19,” stated Dr Jitendra Sharma, Managing Director and CEO of the Andhra Pradesh MedTech Zone, in a release. AMTZ’s pioneering position as an ecosystem that fosters new breakthroughs in healthcare and boosts manufacture of home-grown diagnostic solutions has been further strengthened with the addition of Mylab’s facility.”
The new manufacturing facility is now under development and will begin operations in June 2022 once all relevant approvals have been received.
