State’s First Women’s Park To Come up In Vizag | Visakhapatnam News

Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation is intending to construct a park specifically for women in Visakhapatnam, keeping in mind Chief Minister YS Jagan’s goal of putting women first in everything. Mayor Goligani Hari VenkataKumari has aimed to establish a park for women in the city. She also mentioned that parks would be developed in each zone in Vizag. She also stated that the parks will be called ‘Vanitha Vihar’ or ‘Mahila Vihar.’

Women are playing a critical part in the development of the city. There are 50 women corporators in 98 wards, including the mayor, which makes it unique. Women are unique in many ways, according to Commissioner, and we want to make them even more unique by constructing separate parks for them.

Officials conducted a survey and found 770 acres of undeveloped land.

They intend to turn these unused land into Meeyawaki forests, parks, and walking paths.

The Mayor and Commissioner of Visakhapatnam has agreed to build eight parks in eight zones,which are open to both men and women.The park is going to be designed in accordance with the age group from six years to sixty years.The officials are in talks with the Landscape Architectures of Chennai and Bangalore to design the parks.

Women’s parks will be consisting of Yoga hall,Walking tracks,Indoor games hall,open gym and a special play zone for kids.The land for the parks will be choosen in the Coffee with Corporator program which is going to start soon under GVMC.
