Duduma Waterfalls are located near Munchingiputtu village in Visakhapatnam (Vizag) district, Andhra Pradesh, India, on the border of Koraput (Odisha). The Machkund river creates the waterfall. This is horsetail water that cascades down from a height of 175 metres (574 ft). Duduma Waterfalls has two waterfalls, one in Odisha and one in Andhra Pradesh. Koraput is 92 kilometres away, and Visakhapatnam is 177 kilometres away.

The Machkund (Duduma) Hydroelectric Project is a joint project between the Odisha government and the Duduma Waterfalls. The project has a total installed capacity of 120 MW and is divided into six units. Machkund is both a tourist and a pilgrimage destination. Bonda, Gadaba, and Parajas are the tribes that surround Duduma Waterfalls.

Near Duduma Wat, there are a variety of tourist attractions. The Duduma Waterfall is one of the most recent types of waterfalls, and it is the third highest in terms of height. The Duduma waterfall is located 88 kilometres away. The majestic waterfall is also known as the ‘Matsya Tirtha’ falls and is located in Koraput. A small village called Onkadelli, located three kilometres from the Duduma Waterfalls, draws the Bonda and visits the remote dense forest. At Jolaput, a new dam reservoir is being built. After the monsoon, from September to November, is the best time to visit the waterfall because it is in bloom.

How to Get to the Waterfalls of Duduma Waterfalls

There are two ways to get to the Duduma waterfalls. One runs from Jeypore to Lamptaput, while the other runs from Semiliguda to Lamptaput via Nandpur. Machkund is about 21 kilometres away. The Jeypore, on the other hand, is a better option for the journey. Visakhapatnam is the nearest large city with an airport.
