GVMC applauds the efforts of female corporators
“Women are the foundation of our social structures, whether they are in the home, society, or nation,” Vizag mayor G Hari Venkata Kumari stated. As part of the International Women’s Day celebrations, the Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation honoured female corporators on Sunday.
Venkata Kumari, speaking on the occasion, stated that women contribute considerably to the nation’s progress in all fields. Hari Kumari, quoting various successful women, stated that women may achieve anything they desire. “Women doctors, nursing staff, and other employees risked their lives to help the nation even during the pandemic,” Venkata Kumari said, adding that women are given first priority in all positions by the state government. “I applaud GVMC commissioner Dr. G Lakshmisha for honouring female corporators.”
Dr. Lakshmisha, the GVMC commissioner, discussed his mother’s involvement. “I am who I am because of my mother.” Dr. Lakshmisha commented, “It’s encouraging to have so many female corporators at the GVMC.”
K Satish, the deputy mayor, spoke about women’s empowerment. B Srinivasa Rao, the YSRC floor leader, remarked about how the state government is giving women equal representation.
