Vizag Bird Festival to be held on the 22nd and 23rd of January 2022
Indira Gandhi Zoological Park (IGZP) will host a Vizag Bird Festival on the IGZP grounds on January 22 and 23, in collaboration with the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) Tirupati.
During his visit to the zoo on Tuesday, S. P. Yadav, Additional Director General (Project Tiger) and Member-Secretary, Central Zoo Authority (CZA), released a festival poster and teaser in the presence of Conservator of Forests P. Ram Mohan Rao.
The festival was intended to raise public knowledge about Andhra Pradesh’s avian diversity, according to zoo curator Nandani Salaria. She added that the event would bring Andhra Pradesh’s bird watchers together and bridge the gap between the state’s local scientific and research community and national research groups.
