Science Exhibition Started in AU College Visakhapatnam on the Eve of National Science Day Celebrations
National Science Day Celebrations started at AU College Visakhapatnam. Science Exhibition is started on 22nd February 2022 and will run upto 28th Feburary 2022.
N. Rama Manohara Babu, scientist and the director of Missile Systems at the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) in Hyderabad., speaking at the inaugural session of a national-level Science Week Festival jointly organised on tuesday by the School of Planning and Architecture, Vijayawada (SPAV) and Andhra University, Visakhapatnam, under the Science Communication, Popularisation and Extension (SCoPE) project, said in terms of atomic research, nuclear power, space exploration, and defence research and development, India is self-sufficient.
Mr. Manohara Babu highlighted the significance of bringing together public and private sector scientific and technology organisations, as well as startups, to attain excellence.”A good learning and research environment for young brains is required to develop future scientists,” he stated.
Mr. Manohara Babu then inaugurated a DRDO-hosted expo, which featured models of Indian missile systems, defence technologies, and cutting-edge defence items.
Science publications in Telugu and exhibits by students from the National Institute of Design, Andhra Pradesh, working models of science experiments, and magic acts were among the highlights of the expo, which was held in a bus.
The Union Ministry of Culture, in collaboration with the Vigyan Prasar, is hosting a week-long celebration of science themed ‘Vigyan Sarvatra Pujyate’ as part of the ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav.’
In addition to scientists from the ISRO and the DRDO, students from local schools and colleges, as well as representatives of scientific organisations and non-governmental organisations (NGOs), took part in the event.
Registrar K.V. Uma Maheswara Rao of SPAV, Head of the Planning Department and Organizing Secretary Abdul Razak Mohammed, Ramesh Srikonda and Kailasa Rao of SPAV’s Department of Architecture also participated.
